Jensen Huang, the CEO of Nvidia, recently claimed to have produced more billionaires under his leadership than any other CEO worldwide. Speaking at the Hill and Valley Forum, an event organized by the All-In Podcast team and a group of tech executives and legislators, Huang talked about the impact that small, targeted groups of AI researchers can have and how Nvidia's success has resulted in large financial gains for those in positions of authority. "Of all the CEOs in the world, I have produced more billionaires on my management team. They're doing perfectly. You shouldn't feel sorry for anyone at my layer. Huang Jensen said. He was answering a query about the usefulness and efficacy of smaller AI teams.
Jensen Huang, the CEO of Nvidia, claims that his management team has produced multiple billionaires, which he attributes to the accomplishments of targeted AI research teams. Citing DeepSeek and OpenAI as examples, he emphasized the tremendous impact of smaller, well-funded teams.
However, the key concept is that 150 or so AI researchers, supported by funding, can likely make an impact," he said. Jensen Huang cited China's DeepSeek, which also has a comparable workforce, and OpenAI, which began with about 150 employees.
When given the proper tools, well-organized, mid-sized teams have a special quality, Huang continued. "That team isn't small. With the appropriate infrastructure, that is a sizable team. "Why wouldn't you pay a startup with 150 AI researchers if you're willing to spend, say, $20 billion or $30 billion to acquire one?"
The CEO of Nvidia also responded to rumors during the interview that he personally gives surprise stock options and restricted stock units (RSUs) to top-performing staff members. Jensen Huang joked, "Yeah, I'm carrying it in my pocket right now," in response to the question of whether he does, in fact, carry stock options.

He went on to say that he approaches compensation throughout the organization with a hands-on approach. "I examine each person's compensation to this day. I look through the entire company when they present it and send me each person's suggested comp. I use machine learning as one of my methods for doing that. I go through each of the 42,000 workers.
"I increased the company's spending on OpEx [operating expenses] 100% of the time." And the reason for that is that everything else takes care of itself when you take care of people," he said in closing.
